Patient centered care is an aspect of healthcare that I've been reading a lot about. As the video says, a lot of people and organizations are working together to fix the healthcare system so that it puts the patient first.

Blog 5 - Mentorship and Research Reflection

1) When I first started looking for a mentor I contacted local hospitals to see if i could mentor with them. Once I knew that I wasn't going to hear back from the big hospitals I looked to people that I already knew. I had the option to mentor two of my aunts; one is a physical therapist who lives in Anaheim and the other is a lab technician who lives in Ontario. However, a few weeks later I found out that one of my friend's relatives works in a medical group. I decided to contact her and ask her if she could be my mentor because her field of expertise was closer to what I wanted my topic to be.

2) A Conceptual Framework for Quality of Care - Ali Mohammad Mosadeghrad has been the most useful article because Dr. Ali Mohammad Mosadeghrad and a team of content analysts look at the many components and aspects of healthcare and develop a fundamental guideline/framework that every medical practice should follow. Their research looks at the impact of a good administration, policy makers, suppliers, aesthetics of the hospital, and individual doctors. This article gives me a lot to work with in terms of finding new research.
